NASA AS8-14-2392

[NASA description] High-oblique view of the moon's surface showing Earth rising above the lunar horizon, looking west-southwest, as photographed from the Apollo 8 spacecraft as it orbited the moon. The center of the picture is located at about 105 degrees east longitude and 13 degrees south latitude. The lunar surface probably has less pronounced color than indicated by this print.

“I think the one overwhelming emotion that we had was when we saw the earth rising in the distance over the lunar landscape… it makes us realise that we all do exist on one small globe. For from 230,000 miles away it really is a small planet.” Frank Borman

Condition: very light creasing to top right corner, otherwise mint
