[Caption] Kennedy Space Centre, Florida – Awash in white xenon lights the Space Shuttle Discovery awaits a thundering blast-off from Kennedy Space Centre’s pad 39-B the following morning. Mission STS-26 will carry a five man crew and lift into orbit the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite (TDRS-C). The STS-26 crew is: Commander Rick Hauck; Pilot Richard Covey; and Mission Specialists Dave Hilmers, Mike Lounge, and George “Pinky” Nelson.
